Hello everyone! I'm sharing a very important message from my friend rattery about oxbow food. We are not sure why this is happening but maybe something has changed with oxbow. I will be switching my rats to Mazuri rat food also.

It is with great importance that I give these warnings to all my rat parents.

Rumor has it that oxbow adult rat food has been associated with unexplained deaths in rats. This is happening in both healthy babies and adults and is sudden in nature. We are advocates for good food and have always fed oxbow. Due to this new development, we will now be switching to Mazuri rat for the time being.

Oxbow has asked anyone with an issue to contact them with the bag lot number and exp. Dates. I have no idea if these cases are related, but we are not taking any chances with our babies here. Sadly I have been notified by one of my adopters of the loss of her baby overnight. She had no apparent issues and was never sick. She was only 4 months old.

Second, please do not give your babies boxes that hace been shipped. Many companies are spraying down boxes with disinfectant due to covid. We all know rats will chew the cardboard and it can be deadly.

I love getting pictures from people that take home my babies. The boy on the bottom, far right, and then far left are from me and the two boys in the middle are from my good breeder friend over at Riff-raff-rattery. They all look so comfy ❤❤

Hello everyone, unfortunately since they have decided to turn our power off in this county, pictures probably wont happen until this coming up weekend, I'm also still helping taking care of a family member whois been healing. Thank you for your patience, I'm so sorry this is taking so long.
