White Oak is growing!! Dr. Curtis Patton has been a friend of ours for a long time and we've spent lots of time with him in his career to date, so we are especially proud to welcome him as our newest associate!

Dr. Patton grew up in Spraggs, Pennsylvania on his family’s beef farm. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2019, with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal and Nutritional Science, and again in 2021 with a Master’s degree in Animal Science, where he focused on small ruminant parasitology. Following graduate school, Dr. Patton obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 2025.

Dr. Patton’s professional interests involve anything with a rumen and he has a strong interest in bovine medicine, surgery, and herd health management. He is currently licensed in Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners.

Dr. Patton is engaged to his fiancé Sarah and they both share a strong passion for agriculture, youth agriculture programs, and raising sheep. When he is not in his green bibs, you will find him working around his family’s cattle farm and helping tend to the sheep flock. Outside of work and livestock, you’ll find him in the garden, kitchen, or stream side fly fishing.

Dr. Patton is looking forward to serving White Oak Veterinary clients of southwestern Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.

Sometimes when we cut the grass at the office, we end up making lunch for the barn swallows who fly around and eat the bugs that the mower flushes out.

And if you stop by the office from 11-3 today, we'll feed you too. Because we appreciate our clients.

So park the baler for a couple minutes and come by for food, conversation, and maybe even some swag.
