Hard work does not guarantee success.
You could be the very best at what you do, build the biggest business in the country, be the kindest person in the world, really make a differenceā¦
But hereās the truth. The legacy you leave here on earth will fade. If youāre lucky maybe it will take a few generations, but it will nevertheless fade. The only truly lasting legacy is in heaven. Build by sharing Godās love and helping others find Christ.
So yes. Success is earned. Whether you are a mom, business owner, doctor, rancher etc. My rodeo journey is no differentā¦. Pressure is absolutely a privilege, but I have more pressure knowing how many people still need to find Jesus. No one is too far out of reach or too far gone. Every future microphone and stage in the coming years will be used to preach that message!
To the kids watching this story unfold: I will continue to model what chasing your dreams looks like, hard work, long hours. However, the most important thing I want to model is life as a believer, allowing God to use your talents how He sees fit. To know this pro rodeo road is how He is using mine? I am so humbled and grateful, but I can tell you one thing. If God wasnāt behind it, I wouldnāt be doing it.
For those who are behind us, cheering from both near and far. Thank youš¤ Proverbs 21:31- āThe horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests in the Lord.ā
