We are currently looking to fill TWO positions. Located in Somerset Pennsylvania.

🐴 POSITION #1 — Full Time Experienced Horseman/Horsewoman
Requirements: • Must be able to work full time

Must be in good shape as this job is demanding. Must be able to mount horses frequently.

If you rode 5 years ago this is not for you.. If you grew up riding half broke ponys and salty horses you probably will be a good fit..

You will be trying horses out and riding them daily. Making sure they are safe.

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a good driving record
• No smoking on property
• No drugs period
• Must be able to drive truck and trailer (NO CDL required)
• Must be EXTREMELY experienced around horses
• Must confidently walk, trot, and canter horses ba****ck
• Must be comfortable riding green horses
• Must be willing to travel when needed
Job Duties Include: • Riding and evaluating horses
• Exercising green horses
• General farm chores and horse care
• Helping with daily operations around the farm
• Hauling horses when needed
⚠️ Horses buck. If you are scared of getting bucked off, this is NOT the job for you.
This is not a beginner position. We are looking for someone confident, capable, dependable, and experienced. Obviously we dont keep the horses that buck but we dont know if they buck until they do...

🐴 POSITION #2 — Horse Exercise Rider
This position can require less experience than Position #1, but applicants still must: • Be able to confidently walk, trot, and canter with a saddle
• Be comfortable riding green horses
• Have good horse sense and be dependable
Great opportunity for someone wanting more riding experience while working around quality horses.
💰 Pay is based on experience. Starting out this is not a high paying job. Its a farm job. Plenty of opportunities to grow and get raises for motivated people.

So before you scroll past that 15-year-old or 18-year-old horse because you think they’re “too old,” think about this.

Older horses are often exactly what beginners NEED.

They’ve been there.
They’ve done that.
They’ve seen the scary stuff.
They know their job.
And they don’t need to prove anything.

Everybody wants the young horse — until they realize a young horse usually needs an experienced rider.

If you’re a beginner, nervous rider, older rider, or looking for a safe family horse, don't be afraid of some age.

I’d rather put a beginner on a sound, experienced 18-year-old that’s been there and done it than an inexperienced 6-year-old just because it has fewer birthdays.
