Illinois Ranch Horse Association has scheduled its 2027 final show and futurity for the same weekend as MoRHAโs 2027 Fall Finale and Futurity. With exhibitors and trainers who support both associations, this creates a concern about attendance and the financial impact on MoRHA.
**No decision has been made. Weโre opening this up for discussion before deciding how to move forward.**
๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ ๐ก๐๐ฏ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก:
โข MoRHA has held its November show on this weekend since 2016.
โข This is also our final opportunity for members to earn year-end points not just a futurity event.
โข The National Equestrian Center does not have alternative dates available for us to move the show.
โข Lucky J also does not have alternative dates available for us to move the show.
โข Hosting at NEC is expensive. Low attendance could create a loss large enough to threaten the associationโs ability to continue.
**These are the options we would like to discuss. Some would require further research before we could determine whether they are feasible:**

Host the futurity at a different time and keep the regular membership show on our established November weekend. This preserves the year-end show, but attendance and NEC expenses would still be concerns.

Move the futurity to the August show at Lucky J. This would eliminate the November financial risk, but would also remove a show from our member's year-end season and move the futurity earlier.
