I am a little late at posting but wanted to share some fun photos from last weekend. Suzi won two back-to-back 4 point majors her first time being shown in the US 🙂 what a way to make a debut.

We would like to thank esteemed judges Randy Darnell and Joe Beccia for appreciating our girl, our good friend and handler Jeff Pyle for making the trip and piloting Suzi to these wins - and Sean Gray for taking her back in for breed.

We look forward to getting Suzi out at the specialties this summer. Thank You to Holly Whitney for the pictures.

“Whenever you feel guilty about not giving your dog the best life, whenever you feel like you are working too late while your dog is at home, whenever you think about surrendering your dog because you “can’t give them the life they deserve”, just look at this picture of kennel manager Trevor Denham and the team at The City of Mobile Animal Services getting ready for dinner time. You can see one dog with his paw out waiting for his food.

For these dogs locked in their kennels, this is the highlight of their day, they have absolutely nothing.

Your dog would much prefer being on your sofa waiting for you to come home, rather than being stuck in here, I promise you are doing just fine.
Keep them home where they belong.”

WHY TEMPERAMENT MATTERS MORE THAN COLOR IN GSDs.

Some people buy with their eyes, they chase the darkest black, the richest sable, or the perfect mask.
But a true dog man knows: color doesn’t protect a home… temperament does.

You can own the most beautiful German Shepherd in the world, shiny coat, straight back, glowing eyes but if the mind behind those eyes is weak, you don’t have a protector… you have a picture.

Temperament is the soul of the dog.
It’s what determines how he reacts to pressure, strangers, pain, or fear.
It’s what makes a dog stable in chaos and calm under command.

A dog with sound temperament is predictable...
He doesn’t bite out of fear, and he doesn’t retreat when duty calls.
He knows when to defend, when to hold, and when to trust.

Color fades, but character remains.
The true test of breeding is not the shade of the coatcoat 😂
It’s the strength of the nerves, the balance of the drive, and the courage of the heart.
