After a long discussion amongst the family, given the severity of the EHV-1 outbreak down south and its already rapid spread to multiple other states and even Canada... we have decided it is best that Northwoods Arena be closed to the public until further notice.
We are aware there are no confirmed cases in our area at this time but we do know there were a lot of Minnesota horses at the BFA, where there were confirmed cases. Because of this we do not want to take our chances with anything.
We are protecting not only our personal horses, but our clients as well. These animals are like family to us and because of that there is nothing that is worth risking their health or safety.

Our barrel race December 6th is pending further discussion at this time and we will be speaking to our vet as well before making a decision on whether or not we reschedule.
We believe it is in everyones best interest to stay home to help stop the spread of this awful virus!
At this time the arena is only open to our Boarders!
Boarders; we ask that you refrain from hauling in or out of the property until further notice, unless of course in the case of an emergency. We ask that if you, your trailer, your tack, or any other items are in contact with horses from another property that you disinfect them before bringing them back to Northwoods Arena.

In the meantime we are all praying for everyone affected by this awful virus and hoping everyone does their due diligence by staying home for this short period of time in order to help get this under control. It is serious, it is that contagious, it is killing horses, and yes even the vaccinated ones. So please just stay home. ♡
