This week, we're introducing pattern games to Taser... a Kenai Peninsula Animal Lovers Rescue dog I'm working with to help build confidence.

Pattern games can be a powerful tool for anxious dogs. When the world feels unpredictable... a simple, repetitive game creates something they can count on. That predictability helps lower stress, build confidence, and gives dogs the security to start making their own brave choices.

Confidence isn't built by forcing dogs through their fears... it's built one successful choice at a time. Sometimes, a simple pattern is exactly what they need to take that next step... and I'm excited to watch Taser's confidence continue to grow.

Gwen's Socialization & Manners Day Training outing today included a trip to Home Depot where we worked on loose leash walking, public manners, confidence around novel distractions, and a little obedience mixed in..

The goal isn't to meet everyone or say hi to every dog.

The goal is learning how to move through the world calmly, confidently, and with her owner.

At just 7 months old, Gwen is in a prime developmental stage where these experiences matter. Every successful outing builds confidence, creates positive associations, and helps turn good choices into habits.

This is exactly why I love our Socialization & Manners Day Training option. While owners are at work, puppies and young dogs can still be getting productive, structured exposure to the world instead of spending the day practicing boredom and chaos at home.

Give your dog the gift of learning, enrichment, and exercise — even on your busiest days!

Our Day Camp Sessions are 90–120 minutes long and tailored to your dog’s needs. We pick your dog up, work with them on their goals, and bring them back home tired, happy, and accomplished.

Available Service Options:

✔ **Basic Obedience** – sit, down, stay, leash manners, recalls, leave it
✔ **Out & About Obedience** – polite walking past real-world distractions, greeting manners, attention and focus, and reliable real-world skills
✔ **Puppy Socialization & Obedience** – positive exposure to new dogs, people, and environments, plus foundations in puppy obedience skills (sit, down, leash manners, recalls, focus)

We've added a new service! Purposeful Walks are a great way to work on your dogs' training and also get them some consistent exercise if your schedule is tight. Our trainer will come to you and take your dog on a walk, while working on their obedience skills.
