โค๏ธ๐Ÿ“ž Staff Fun Question of the Week!

We put our team on the spot and asked:

"Who is most likely to accidentally end a phone call with 'Love you, bye!'?" ๐Ÿ˜‚

After answering hundreds of client calls, talking to family, friends, and coworkers all day, it's bound to happen eventually, right? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Watch the video to see who our staff voted for! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘‡

And be honest... have YOU ever accidentally told someone "love you" at the end of a work phone call? ๐Ÿ˜‚

For most healthy pets, ear cleaning happens less often than families expect, and over-cleaning can cause its own problems. Our newest post explains how often to clean your dog or cat's ears, what to look for during inspection, and when something warrants a vet visit.

Intervertebral disc disease is one of the most common neurological conditions in dogs, and it's time-sensitive. Dogs treated early often regain full function; those who wait too long face more permanent deficits. We walk through the early signs to recognize, the difference between surgical and conservative treatment, and how rehabilitation supports recovery for dogs with disc disease at Soda Springs Animal Clinic.

Lameness is one of the leading causes of reduced productivity, weight loss, and premature culling in cattle and other livestock, and most of it traces back to hoof problems that were preventable. Routine trimming is one of the most cost-effective preventive practices in any operation. We dig into why hoof care matters, scheduling by species, technique fundamentals, and recognizing trouble early at Soda Springs Animal Clinic.

โ˜€๏ธโœ‚๏ธ Summer โ€œRanch Clipsโ€ Are Here! โœ‚๏ธโ˜€๏ธ

As the temperatures start warming up, some pets can really benefit from a good summer shave-down โ€” what we lovingly call a Ranch Clip! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ

While we are not professional groomers, we do offer sedate-and-shave appointments for dogs and cats that may:
๐Ÿพ Have severely matted coats
๐Ÿพ Struggle with traditional grooming appointments
๐Ÿพ Become stressed or anxious during brushing/shaving
๐Ÿพ Simply need some extra help staying comfortable during the hot summer months

These clips can help pets feel cleaner, cooler, and more comfortable heading into summer โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ’›

Because sedation is involved, your petโ€™s safety and comfort are always our top priority. Our team will discuss whether a Ranch Clip is appropriate for your pet and what to expect during the procedure.

๐Ÿ“ž Give us a call to schedule or ask questions about our Ranch Clips!

โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿพ Heat Stroke in Dogs: Know the Signs ๐Ÿพโ˜€๏ธ

As temperatures start to rise, itโ€™s important to remember that our dogs can overheat MUCH faster than we do. Heat stroke is a life-threatening emergency that can happen quickly โ€” even on days that may not seem extremely hot.

Dogs do not sweat like humans. They mainly cool themselves by panting, which means they can struggle to regulate their body temperature during hot weather, exercise, or poor ventilation.

๐Ÿšจ Signs of Heat Stroke in Dogs:
โ€ข Excessive panting
โ€ข Drooling
โ€ข Bright red gums
โ€ข Weakness or collapse
โ€ข Vomiting or diarrhea
โ€ข Disorientation
โ€ข Rapid heart rate
โ€ข Difficulty breathing
โ€ข Seizures

๐Ÿถ Dogs at higher risk include:
โ€ข Brachycephalic breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, Frenchies, etc.)
โ€ข Overweight pets
โ€ข Senior pets
โ€ข Thick-coated breeds
โ€ข Pets with heart or respiratory disease

๐Ÿ’ก Tips to Prevent Heat Stroke:
โœ”๏ธ Always provide fresh water
โœ”๏ธ Avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day
โœ”๏ธ Never leave pets in vehicles โ€” even for a few minutes
โœ”๏ธ Provide shade and cool resting areas
โœ”๏ธ Limit strenuous exercise in warm weather
โœ”๏ธ Watch closely for overheating during outdoor activities

โ—If you suspect heat stroke:
Move your pet to a cool area immediately, offer cool (not ice-cold) water, wet them with cool towels, and contact your veterinarian right away. Heat stroke can cause organ damage very quickly and should always be treated as an emergency.

Stay safe and help keep your furry family members cool this summer! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿพ Stop By for Treats & Tail Wags! ๐Ÿพ

Did you know your pet doesnโ€™t have to have an appointment to come see us? ๐Ÿ’™

We LOVE when our furry friends stop by the clinic just for treats, belly rubs, ear scratches, and extra love from the staff! Whether youโ€™re out running errands or just passing by, feel free to bring your pet in for a quick happy visit. ๐Ÿฆด๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ

These fun little visits can actually make a huge difference! When pets come in only for vaccines, blood draws, or treatments, the clinic can start to feel scary. Positive visits help them build confidence and learn that the veterinary clinic is a safe, happy place filled with friendly faces and yummy treats. ๐Ÿชโœจ

So next time youโ€™re nearby, stop in and let us spoil your pet a little โ€” weโ€™d love to see them! ๐Ÿพ
