✨Our handsome Cosmo!✨

Now that we’ve made it through the first week of school and are ready to start our second, I just wanted to hop on here and remind everyone of our schedule changes!

I am homeschooling my sons again this year. It’s what works best for us as they are nonverbal & autistic! They are amazing and prove to us everyday of how much they know!

My schedule is now Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 12:00-6:00 pm. I will take my last pup no later than 4:00-5:00 depending on their size!

I have a bather along side me to help, and will be working a rotation schedule those days. Meaning we will schedule up to 2 per time slot. These are bigger days and will take a little longer than the normal time frame. Doggies that need 1:1 care will take priority, and no dogs will be left to kennel that whole time. We prefer to let dogs socialize and play while they are waiting! So for the pups that aren’t super social, we’ll try to get them in and out for their comfort and safety. We always prefer to meet the needs of each dog individually, so rest assured, your pup will always have their safety and comfort as a priority with us!

I will be working the normal schedule on Fridays, 9:00-4:00. This day will be a normal 1:1 schedule! So if this works best for your doggy, please let us know! 😊🐾

Our wonderful Jamie is taking some much needed time off for health reasons, she may be back come spring time! Because she’ll be taking some time off, the schedule will be a little tight. Please remember our 48 hour cancellation policy. If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 48 hour notice, so that we can get the pups waiting on the schedule.

For right now, we are not in the shop on Tuesdays. We may be available Tuesdays again in the future, but for now we will be closed Tuesdays so I can take my boys to Pocatello for their weekly Speech and OT appointments.

Mister Finn the Bernedoodle puppy!

Top picture is Finn’s first ✨puppy cut✨, bottom left is his first full groom, and bottom right is his second full haircut from yesterday! It’s not perfect, but he will be an excellent dog for grooming over time!

Why you ask? Because we introduced him to grooming the RIGHT way! Puppies need to be taught how to tolerate the grooming experience with a slow introduction. We always start with just a puppy cut! This includes a bath and brush out, paw pad and sanitary clip, and some light trimming around their paws and face OR whatever they will tolerate the first time! We never go full send and start chopping away the first time, this can cause trauma and scare them into hating grooming for the rest of their days. 🐾

As soon as your pup gets their last round of puppy vaccines (this will include rabies), schedule them for their first puppy cut! When we start puppies later in their life, they usually need a full haircut by that point and every haircut (in their mind) is a terrible experience because they were never shown how to handle it. This is not a fun experience for both pup and groomer. Don’t wait! 🐾

Pups also need to learn how to tolerate being brushed and combed at home. If we want the fun, fluffy cuts, this is a must! Pups that will need full haircuts must be maintained at home between grooming sessions. We are happy to teach your pup how to be groomed, but it’s a team effort! Let us know if you need help with proper brushing, we are happy to help 🤗🐾

Hello everyone! 👋🏻

Unfortunately I got hit with a terrible head/chest cold this week. This same cold gave my husband pneumonia, so it’s not an easy one to just push through.

I know there a lot of you waiting for me to reply to messages and get you called back. I will be doing so, slowly but surely. But the head change with this cold has me very foggy, and I’m struggling to stay organized enough in my own brain to get back with everyone lol.

I just wanted to throw this out there so it doesn’t feel like I’m leaving you hanging! I’m just a real human, not a robot, who feels like she’s dying lol. Give me a day or two, and I’ll be back to normal. And will be returning all calls/messages.

Thanks so much for understanding! I love all my doggy clients and can’t wait to feel better so I can hang out with them! 🐶🐾
