🚨 PLEASE HELP LULU FIND A HOME 🚨

This is Lulu. She’s a sweet roughly 6-year-old Shih Tzu who desperately needs someone to give her a chance. 🐾💔

Lulu does great with cats, but has become hesitant with other dogs. She does have some urinary issues, but her condition has already been discussed with a veterinarian and she is currently on a special urinary-support food. She isn’t asking for much — just a safe place to live, someone to love her, and a family willing to continue caring for her.

Unfortunately, Lulu will be euthanized if a home cannot be found for her. 😢 Lulu is a very special girl to me, and I seriously cannot see her losing her life since she needs extra care. She’s a very sweet girl.

🐾 WELCOME TO THE PAW-SOME PITSTOP FAMILY, HUNTER! 🐾

We’re so excited to officially welcome Hunter to the Paw-Some Pitstop team! ❤️ He started working with me this week and has already been such a HUGE help around the salon.

Hunter is a hard worker, loves staying busy, and takes pride in helping keep the salon clean and organized. He’s also starting to learn how to bathe dogs, and he’s picking up new skills every day! 🛁🐶

Hunter is autistic, and we’re excited to give him the opportunity to learn, grow, and build confidence in a job that he can really make his own. He has a great eye for detail, a willingness to help, and a big heart for animals. ❤️

And of course, we had to let everyone get to know Hunter a little better! 😂

As you celebrate, don’t forget that fireworks can be scary for our pets. Keep them safe indoors, make sure collars and tags are up to date, and give them lots of love tonight. 🐶🐱❤️

Paw-Some Pitstop will be closed July 4th and will reopen Monday, July 6th.

🎆🐾 More Pets Go Missing on the Fourth of July Than Any Other Day of the Year 🐾🎆

The loud booms, flashing lights, and unfamiliar activity can cause even the calmest pet to panic. Every year after the Fourth of July, animal shelters see an increase in lost pets that became frightened and ran away.

The good news? Most of these situations are preventable.

Here are a few simple ways to keep your pet safe:

🏠 Keep pets indoors before fireworks begin.

🔒 Double-check that all doors, windows, fences, and gates are securely closed and latched.

🐕 Walk dogs well before dark and always keep them on a leash—even in a fenced yard.

🐱 Keep cats indoors, even if they normally spend time outside.

🏷️ Make sure your pet is wearing a properly fitted collar with current ID tags, and verify that your microchip registration has your current contact information.

🚪 Remind family members and guests not to leave doors open while pets are loose indoors.

🎇 Leave pets at home—don't bring them to fireworks displays, parties, or crowded celebrations.

Remember: Most pets don't "run away" on the Fourth of July—they panic. Taking a few minutes to prepare now can make all the difference in keeping your best friend safe, secure, and home where they belong.
