We have more sad news…Roxy crossed over the rainbow bridge. We haven’t known her long, but she was a wonderful dog…one of the best to walk. She sure knew her routine! It pains us that we haven’t had much time with her, but we were blessed to have her in our lives…even if it was short. We will miss you, girl.

We are sad…we learned that Stella crossed over the rainbow bridge. Stella was our first introduction to the Saint Bernard breed, and she made us fall in love. She truly was one of a kind…fun, funny, loving and happy. We have so many wonderful memories with her over the years. Be free, Stella. You live on in our hearts, for sure.

Are you tired of the heat? We are too! We are so ready for Fall temps, but it doesn’t look like we will get any soon. In the mean time, we are making sure that we stay safe on our dog walks. Here is what we are doing.

- we are staying hydrated and making sure the dogs are too.

- we are changing the times of our walks if possible so we are not walking during peak temperatures (although this is not always an option).

- we are trying not to walk on hot pavement.

- we are taking shorter walks, walking in the shade and/or taking breaks.

- we are making sure our a/c’s are working so we cool off in between walks.

Stay cool out there…we are trying our best!

Often times some of the cats we watch are skittish and hide from us. Penny calls Val “the cat whisper” because usually eventually they will warm up to her. For these three kitties it has taken years, but as you can see,
Val pet each one!!! Yay for progress and patience😻. This doesn’t mean that they are all lovey dovey, but it’s progress and makes our efforts worth the wait ❤️. Thank you Markie, Dottie & Finn for finally accepting a head rub.

We haven’t posted in a while. That doesn’t mean we haven’t been pet sitting. Here are some of our adventures.
