Adopt Ava 🥺
Some people think the hardest part of fostering is letting go. But sometimes, it’s seeing their soul, knowing the loving companion they can become, and wishing others could see it at first glance, too, instead of labeling them by their initial shyness before they’ve had a chance to feel safe and show who they really are.
This is Ava after just 1.5 weeks of getting used to a new space. She’s still shy, but give her a little time and she’ll go from wanting nothing to do with you to demanding attention and love. ❤️
This is why videos are so important. Cats can clam up in an adoption center, and their true personalities don’t always shine through right away. Shy doesn’t mean broken, and taking time to trust doesn’t mean they won’t make wonderful companions.
As fosters, we see the cats they become when they feel safe. We know how much love they have to give. We just need someone willing to give them that same chance.
Ava is a beautiful older kitten who loves other cats and kittens. And those eyes? They stare straight into your soul. 😍
