When we dreamed of building an aviary, I visioned having one so open the birds can enjoy their outside while being protected from predators. Mr Chicken Hawk thought he had an easy meal. Mr Chicken Hawk got a bump on his head from trying to fly into our aviary and this crazy old white hair chicken mama flapping her arms wildly as he tried to figure out what just happened. Fly away Mr Chicken Hawk. You'll hafta find your next meal elsewhere.

The only way you can tell the difference between male and female Guinea is their vocal (that I know of.) The two Guineas that I so graciously inherited are males. Guinea are very social birds so of course I had already began planning on finding females for their Leroy and Cash. How do you find females? Pick some up and hope at least two turn out to be female. Well I've been patiently waiting for these young Guineas to find their voice... And we have two females, June and Dolly!!!! One is a male, Kenny. The fourth one behaves like a female but hasn't made her vocal debut yet.

I dreamed that my children were young and we were just moving into a new home and I was helping them get their bedrooms set up. It felt so good to be in that moment with them again. Even if it was just a dream.

These days I'm enjoying the facetimes, phone calls and messages of my grown Corey and his most wonderful wife Cheryl making a home and making memories with for their babies. And letting me be a part of them even 1700 miles away. Hearing my babies laughter and their I love you MawMaw's. Growing up from Mom to MawMaw, it feels so good to be living in this moment now.

As for Christian, being able to read the living breathing Word of my God that says how her Jesus took her hand and welcomed her to the home that He spent 33 years as a man and eternity as the God preparing for her. Imagining her smiling when we talked about our heavenly home and what it would be like when she was here with me. Laughing as she told me that our mansions would have a connecting door. And I'm quite sure she's going to make that happen. It will feel so good when I'm in that eternity with her.

God has been and is and will forever be so good to me. Through the good moments. The heartbreaking life shattering moments. The God why am I here moments. I wouldn't trade any of these moments. Oh I definitely wouldn't have chosen some moments. But He's carried through the valleys. He's fought for me through the battles. He's cheered me through the victories. And He will be there waiting for me at the finish line. That makes every moment worth it.
