October on the farm. The calves that started as question marks back in spring are now solid, healthy animals heading into their first winter. 🍂🐄

And the cows who carried them, birthed them, and fed them through the whole season are still right there, steady as ever.

There's a lot of quiet, consistent work that goes into a moment like this. Most of it never gets seen or celebrated.

That thick double coat is gorgeous but it comes with some responsibility! 🍂🐾

Shelties and other double-coated breeds actually shed more heavily during seasonal transitions, and October is prime time for it. Regular brushing during fall helps remove loose undercoat, prevents matting, and keeps their skin healthy going into winter. A good deshedding routine now saves your furniture later. 😂

Autumn was made for dogs and they know it. 🍂🐾

Crisp air, crunchy leaves, and a pup who is absolutely living their best life. Fall walks are genuinely one of the best things about having a dog. They make you get outside even when you'd rather stay in and for that we are eternally grateful. 🧡
