Over the course of my career, I received several commendations and awards; many in which were related to the outstanding accomplishments and achievements while serving in the K-9 corp. My long time partner 'Ruger' retired in 2007 after serving nearly a decade by my side. He passed at the grand ole' age of 14 in 2012. Since then I knew that upon my own retirement, I would continue to pursue my pass

ion with animals. My wife is a highly motivated individual who has dedicated her life to higher education and serving as a manager and role model in the customer service industry. Her passion to interact with people is equally compared to her passion with animals. We started 'Paws on the Ground' because of the love and compassion that we have for animals and our desire to meet people who share that same belief. We will strive to demonstrate this to you as you entrust us with your beloved animal family member each and everyday that we are privileged to earn your business and trust. Today is bittersweet as we learn that a royal member of Paws on the Ground has passed. Queen Kate passed away at the grand age of just shy of 20 years old. In cat years, that has to be as many years as any Queen has ever ruled any land in the world!
Her passing is Bitter because regardless of the circumstances, losing a fur-baby is always hard. Sweet, because her Majesty has lived a very long and fulfilled life and was so loved by her servants.....I mean her loving Dads.
I have had the privilege of serving her highness for over a decade. Who would've thought I would ever be in the presence of royalty but after my first few visits to her castle, she allowed me to witness her presence. And after a few more, I was actually allowed to kiss her paw. And the rest is history. We love you Kitty Cat Kate!
Long remember the Queen!!!

UPDATE- Fred's surgery has been postponed for 2-3 weeks due to a medication conflict that they want completely out of his system before surgery. We will keep everyone updated.

Paws on the Ground family please keep Fred in your thoughts and prayers as he will be having surgery Monday to remove some significant sized lumps and tumors that have made their way under muscle and other areas. We are praying that all goes well and he has a speedy recovery. ❤️🐾
