What to do if your beloved pet passes away at home and you can not get to Pet Lawn or to your veterinarians office right away:

Wrap your dear pet in a blanket or towel & gently place in a box or some other type of storage container

Place your pet somewhere cold, i.e. a freezer or if that makes you uncomfortable, a cooler full of ice. If the pet is too big for a cooler, then place your pet in a bag & surround it with ice. In the winter time, you can place your pet in a cold non heated garage or outside in a box.

Decomposition happens fairly fast & with that comes smells & sometimes pests like maggots. Keeping them cold deters that from happening

They deserve dignity & we want to do what’s best for our beloveds even after death.
