Yay KONA! It’s your GOTCHA DAY! 🎉🎉🎉

“I never thought I’d adopt another dog after my Shiba Inu of 14 years passed away. However, I fell in love 😍 with one of their rescues the first day that I went to visit and took him home with me 🏡 He is happily chewing on a lamb leg on my couch as I write this. They had great notes on all of their rescues. This little boy is high energy, friendly, and a sweetheart! Everything that I needed to heal my heart. Thank you SAVE! ❤️❤️❤️”

This is what second chances are all about! We have so many amazing pups available for adoption in our shelter. Open your heart ♥️ and home 🏡 to a shelter dog and you will find yourself asking ‘who rescued who’ 🥰

SAVE stopped in for opening day! 🌭 🐕 They are all about rescue dogs so adoptable dog, Cash, joined us for some time out of the shelter on this beautiful day ☀️ He enjoyed a pup cup (thanks Debbie!) and he met adoptable dog, Jenny, from 😍

Thank you to The Dog Shop for shining a light on local rescues and shelters to promote pet fostering and adoption. You all rock! 🙌🏽

Meet Lorelei: our reminder that life is best experienced in the slow lane 💕 This lovely pittie is gentle, soft-hearted, and happiest when she’s enjoying the simple things: a long stroll, a good sniff-a-bout, a comfy place to relax, and someone patient enough to let her come out of her shell at her own pace.

🐕 Walks are absolutely Lorelei’s happy place and she walks great on a leash. She could spend hours quietly exploring the world one smell at a time, taking everything in with calm curiosity and those sweet thoughtful eyes.

Lorelei can be a little shy at first and takes a moment to feel comfortable with new people and touch. But once she starts to trust you, she melts into gentle affection - especially if butt and belly scratches are involved.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about earning the love of a dog like Lorelei, because you can tell how much it means to her to feel safe. We may not know much about her past, but it’s easy to see what kind of future she deserves: soft couches, peaceful walks, kind humans, and a home where she never has to wonder where she belongs again. Home 🏡

Lorelei isn’t looking for chaos or nonstop adventure. She’s looking for comfort, patience, and someone to quietly love for the rest of her life 💕

Dog-friendly and can be cat-tested if you have a feline friendly home ⬇️

Ghost arrived at SAVE on 3/1/2025. We never could have guessed this young, sweet and fun-loving husky would take this long to find a home. 🤦‍♀️ Thankfully, he has spent most of this time in a foster home and not in the shelter. Today, he’s celebrating his Gotcha Day! He’s officially ADOPTED 🎉🎉🎉

Special thanks to his dedicated foster dad who opened his heart ❤️ and home 🏡 to keep Ghost out of the shelter. SAVE provides all medical care, food, etc for our foster families. If you are interested in becoming a foster, complete the foster app on our website site or email [email protected]
