Ivypool (grey and white) and Alderheart (orange and white) are still looking for their forever homes. Pet friendly housing is required. We will ask your landlord. Both cats are 8 months old, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.
Here is what their foster home has to say about them:
āBoth cats Are EXTREMELY food motivated. They enjoy dry food but LOVE the wet stuff, both canned food and treats. After a few days of them being here I opened a tubed cat treat, laid on the ground and reached out with it. They both came out of the hiding spot in their decompression room and lapped it up before slowly retreating. With enough treats and gentle pets, they do warm up to you.
When faced with uncertainty, they are more likely to run than fight. If their claws come out, it's to help with traction so they can run faster. They are still uncertain about new people, but they really like being around my cats. Even my cat, that hates cats, likes them.
They both tolerate being picked up, but they donāt love it. Especially with new people in the room, it makes them nervous.
The Orange cat likes being pet, being active (cat wand, Wrestling with other cats, midnight runs down the hall), and enjoys being near people even when hiding under furniture. This one is shyer than the Grey and white one. They like being in the cat tree but when they want to have a deep sleep instead of a light cat nap, they tend to go under a chair or a bed. Since theyāve been here for a month, I noticed they have warmed up to the people in the house. They walk directly in front of me when they want food or pets. They have also slept in my room, on my bed a few times.
The grey and white cat REALLY likes pets. He is a purr factory. The other cat does pur but not like this. I touched his foot once and he just started purring and rolled over on his back. He started purring when I was dishing up the wet food. He is affectionate. He is also active but not as active as the Orange cat. He does love the cat wand though. He is also a bit braver. Heāll go under furniture sometimes, but it isnāt as frequent.ā
