Huge shout out to Valerie Fercho-Tillery for yet again making winter coats and plush cat beds for Furry Friends' dogs and cats. With cold weather approaching many Sisters area pets will be warm and "fashionable" this winter. Cindy Lou is modeling one of the many colorful, cozy hand-made coats donated. Thank you Valerie!

It was a very Chewy day at the Furry Friends office! 📦
Each Thursday we serve on average 25 families, sometimes a few less, sometimes many more. With estimating just 2 animals per family, that's 50 pets receiving a month's worth of food. Multiply that by four Thursdays a month and you can see why the boxes pile up fast. So, if you've ever wondered what your donation goes toward, this is it. Want to do some shopping for us? This sweet girl was found at Cold Springs Campground west of Sisters. She looks about 1 year old and has mastitis, likely recently nursing kittens but they were nowhere to be found and she just wanted to hang with humans. Guessing she got dumped there. 😞 She was taken to Brightside Animal Center in Redmond, she’ll be on a stray hold for three days. (If she is listed for adoption, jump at the chance cuz oh boy she is so sweet. She climbed into a tent and cuddled with folks all night!)

Meet Pickles. This little guy was the picture of zen right before his neuter surgery this past weekend, a surgery Furry Friends Foundation was proud to sponsor. It's a quick, safe procedure that helps prevent unwanted litters, reduces the number of cats and dogs ending up in shelters. It also comes with health benefits and tends to mellow out behaviors like roaming and spraying so cats like Pickles can just relax and be cats. If you'd like to help us cover more surgeries for pets like Pickles, a donation to Furry Friends Foundation goes a long way. Rest up, Pickles. You did great.
