Puppy Love LLC is a family-owned pet grooming salon serving Sioux Falls since 1983. We provide gentle, experienced grooming in a calm, caring environment.

Grooming by appointment only. Call, text, or message to schedule. Hours vary Monday–Saturday. We specialize in the comfort of the animal during the grooming process and strive to meet all of the owners request.

🐾🍂 FALL WEATHER ALERT: FLEAS & TICKS AREN'T GONE YET! 🍂🐾

As the temperatures begin to drop, those pesky fleas and ticks are still hanging around! 🐜

Many people believe that once the weather gets colder, fleas and ticks disappear. Unfortunately, that's not the case! Fleas can survive inside warm homes, while ticks may remain active during cooler weather.

Here at Puppy Love Pet Grooming, we want to share a little reminder to help keep your furry family members happy, healthy, and pest-free! ❤️🐶🐱

🛁 WHAT GROOMING CAN DO:

During a flea bath, we can help remove and kill fleas currently on your pet. However, a flea bath is NOT a long-term preventative and cannot guarantee the removal of every flea, egg, or developing flea.

🏠 YOUR HOME NEEDS ATTENTION TOO!

Did you know flea eggs can fall off your pet and settle into carpets, furniture, bedding, and other areas of your home?

Even if your fur baby leaves our salon flea-free, they can pick up fleas again the moment they return to an untreated environment!

Here's how you can help break the cycle:

🐾 Wash your pet's bedding, blankets, and washable soft items.

🐾 Vacuum carpets, furniture, and areas where your pets spend time.

🐾 Address flea infestations in your home and other areas your pet regularly visits, using pet-safe methods and professional pest control when necessary.

🐾 Make sure ALL pets in the household are receiving appropriate flea prevention.

🐾 Speak with your veterinarian about a reliable, long-term flea and tick preventative.

🫧 A LITTLE TIP ABOUT DAWN DISH SOAP!

Did you know Dawn dish soap can kill adult fleas during a bath? While it may offer temporary relief, it does NOT provide lasting protection or eliminate an infestation.

Dish soap can also dry out or irritate your pet's skin, so it should not replace a veterinarian-recommended flea treatment.

❤️ PLEASE REMEMBER: GROOMING IS ONLY ONE PIECE OF THE PUZZLE!

At Puppy Love, we do our best to help your pets leave our salon clean, comfortable, and feeling their best. However, ongoing flea prevention and treatment of the home environment are the pet owner's responsibility.

We can help tackle the fleas on your furry friend, but keeping them from coming back takes teamwork!
