How did no one come for Paul?

Paul was picked up as a stray did his hold time and, despite being an absolute sweetheart, no one ever came looking for him. Now it’s our turn to help him find the family he has always deserved.

At just 1½ years old and only 31 pounds, Paul is much smaller than most people expect. His white coat with beautiful blue brindle spots makes him as handsome as he is unique, and his petite size has people thinking he’s still a puppy.

But what will steal your heart isn’t his looks—it’s his personality.

Paul absolutely adores people. Children, adults…everyone is a friend he just hasn’t met yet. He’s also wonderful with other dogs and has a calm, medium-energy personality. Whether you’re taking a walk, going out to coffee, taking a drive, putting your toes in the pool, tossing a toy, or relaxing on the couch, Paul is simply happy to be by your side.

The sad reality is that pit bulls are often overlooked, not because of who they are, but because there are so many waiting for homes. Paul doesn’t know that. He only knows he has a heart full of love and is waiting for someone to share it with.

He’s ready to go home:
🐾 Neutered
🐾 Microchipped
🐾 Up-to-date on vaccinations
🐾 Dewormed
🐾 NexGard protected

Adoption fee: $135

Please don’t scroll past Paul because of his breed. See him for who he really is—a gentle, happy, loyal little guy who has done nothing wrong except end up homeless.

Could you be the person he’s been waiting for?

If you’d like to meet Paul, please click the adoption application link below. Even if you can’t adopt, a share could be the one that changes his life.

Margarita is a 6-month-old Lab mix looking for her forever home!

This sweet girl is well socialized with dogs of all sizes. When meeting new people or unfamiliar dogs, she can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, her loving personality shines through.

Margarita is learning to walk nicely on a leash and is discovering the world around her one adventure at a time. She truly has a heart as big as her ears and loves spending time with her people.

In her foster home, Margarita is housebroken with a consistent schedule and continues to thrive with routine and positive reinforcement. She is still young so she has some puppy energy and some jumping habits her foster mom is trying to break. She will need continuous training for her to be the girl you want her to be.

She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Her adoption donation is $135

Meet Bailer! Bailer's story started in an unlikely place—a John Deere dealership, where this tiny brown tabby kitten was found all alone, scared, and wondering where her next meal would come from. Thankfully, rescue found her just in time, and she's discovered that people can be pretty wonderful after all. Now 8 weeks old, Bailer has blossomed into a confident, social little girl with a heart as big as her personality. She loves to play, explore, and investigate everything around her, always approaching life with curiosity and confidence. SANDY’S STORY ❤️

On July 23, Sandy jumped over a fence in an area that was completely unfamiliar to her. Home was more than 2½ hours away, and she was terrified.

From the very beginning, our trappers were in constant communication with Sandy’s owners. Because they lived so far away, they had to depend 100% on the people here to help bring their girl home.

And that is exactly what happened.

Ashlyn, Katie, and Ron took every single lead and every sighting seriously. There were times when they would get close enough to see Sandy, but the moment she spotted them or anyone , fear would take over. She would run—and she would not look back.

Day after day, they continued.

They followed leads. They checked sightings. They talked with people. They watched, waited, searched, and refused to give up on a dog they had never even met before Sandy found herself lost and terrified in our community.

For those who have never experienced a lost, frightened dog, it can be hard to understand why you can’t simply walk up and catch them. Fear changes everything. Even the sweetest, most loving dog can become terrified of the very people trying to save them.

But patience saves lives.

And sometimes, it takes an entire community of people who refuse to give up.

Sandy was lost in a place she didn’t know, far away from everything familiar to her. But she was never forgotten. Her owners never stopped hoping, and our trappers never stopped trying.

This is what dedication looks like. This is what teamwork looks like. And this is what happens when people come together for one scared dog who simply needed someone to keep believing in her. And thank you to the property owners, who gave us permission to do what we needed to do. And to those of you who kept your eyes open and reported any sightings .

Ashlyn, Katie, and Ron—thank you for taking every lead seriously, for giving your time, for losing sleep, and for never giving up on Sandy.

Her journey home was a long one, but she had an entire team fighting to make sure she didn’t stay lost. ❤️🐾

Welcome home Sandy

❤️ Welcome to Noah’s Hope, Valor ❤️

Let the transformation begin.

When Animal Control received the call about two abandoned dogs left behind, they went and got them to safety.

One of those dogs was in heartbreaking condition.

She had likely been suffering from severe mange for a very long time, along with an eye infection and a secondary bacterial infection. Her toenails had grown so long that they were causing her pain just to walk.

But she was finally safe.

Animal Control immediately started treatment for her mange, and then we got her to Siouxland Animal Hospital, where Dr. Saulsbury examined her and prescribed medication for her eye infection and secondary bacterial infection. Her overgrown toenails were trimmed, giving her some much-needed relief.

Now Valor has moved into a loving foster home, where she will remain in quarantine. She will continue receiving medication for her skin, medicated baths, drops for her eyes, and NexGard for her mange.

This little girl has a long road ahead of her—but for the first time, she has something she may have never known before:

Safety. Love. Comfort. And people who will not give up on her. ❤️

Thank you Siouxland Animal Hospital for never turning up your nose to those we want to save?

A thank-you to Chas, her Animal Control officer, for answering the call and getting Valor to safety.

And a huge thank you to Deanna and David for opening your home and your hearts and getting this beautiful girl all the medical attention that she needs and giving her the safe place she needs to begin healing. ❤️

Valor, we welcome you to Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue.

Your past does not define you.

Your future is just beginning.

Let the transformation begin. 🐾❤️
