I can’t believe it’s already been one year since I left teaching full-time. I truly thought I’d spend my entire career in education, but life has a funny way of leading you exactly where you’re meant to be.
I wouldn’t be here without all of YOU. There have been so many new faces lately, so I thought I’d introduce myself—not just the animal lover you see online, but some of the moments that shaped who I am.
✨ A few fun (and not-so-fun) facts about me:
1. My mom has an indoor pot-bellied pig that my brother and I somehow convinced her to get when we were in high school. 😂
2. I grew up playing softball and played all the way through high school before hanging up my cleats in college.
3. I was born 2½ months early and weighed just 2 lbs. 15 oz.
4. During my senior year of high school, we had a house fire at my mom’s. We lost so much, but what mattered most was that we all made it out safely—including our animals.
5. Daisy as a baby, and Peanut was always attached to my side. 🥹
6. My brother, Jordan, and I are only 10 months apart.
7. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at 19 years old, and this year I’m celebrating almost 10 years cancer-free. ❤️
8. Peanut is my heart dog... no explanation needed.
9. I had the opportunity to attend Clemson, and I’ll always be grateful for those years. I graduated during COVID. 🫠
10. Right before my junior year—and just four days before the first day of school—I was rear-ended while stopped in traffic and had to undergo reconstructive eye surgery.
11. Before teaching, I helped open and worked at doing administrative work/serving.
12. I got engaged to my best friend in Clemson. ❤️
13. Then I graduated and spent five wonderful years as a teacher.
And now, somehow, life has brought me here.
Every challenge, every blessing, and every chapter has made me who I am today. Thank you for trusting me with your pets and for supporting this dream of mine. I never take it for granted, and I’m so grateful that I get to love on your fur babies every single day.
I can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes us. 🐾❤️
