Some of the most important people in veterinary medicine are the ones who spend their days behind the scenes, giving everything they have to animals who can’t tell them what’s wrong.

To our incredible veterinary technicians at Brazos Oaks Animal Hospital:

We see you. We appreciate you. And we truly could not do what we do without you.

We see the way you get down on the floor to comfort a nervous patient. The way you speak gently to an animal that’s scared or hurting. The way you stay calm when things get difficult, think quickly when every second matters, and somehow find the strength to keep giving your all, even on the hardest days.

We see the tears you sometimes hold back, the patients you worry about long after you’ve gone home, and the genuine joy you feel when an animal you’ve cared for finally gets to go home healthy.

We see the compassion, the dedication, the knowledge, and the countless responsibilities you carry every single day.

But more than anything, we see how much you CARE.

You are so much more than an extra set of hands for our veterinarian doctors. You are the heart of so many moments that happen within these hospital walls. You make our doctors better, our team stronger, and our patients’ lives better because of the love you put into your work.

And while one week could never adequately recognize everything you do, we hope you know how deeply grateful we are to work alongside each of you.

We don’t just appreciate the work you do. We appreciate the PEOPLE you are. The hearts you have, the sacrifices you make, and the compassion you bring into this hospital every day.

We are blessed to call you our team, and even more blessed to know you as people.

Happy National Veterinary Technician Week to some of the very best! You deserve to be celebrated today and every day. 🐾💚

We’re pretty sure Shaggy and Scooby could turn heads anywhere they go! 🤭🐾

There’s a reason Great Danes have earned the nickname “gentle giants.” These larger-than-life pups are often incredibly affectionate, loyal, and happiest when they’re right beside their people.

But did you know that Great Danes don’t actually come from Denmark? Their roots trace back to Germany, where they were originally bred as powerful hunting dogs!

Today, you’ll find them trading hunting adventures for couch cuddles, oversized dog beds, and plenty of attention from their families.

We sure do love getting to care for dogs of ALL shapes and sizes here at Brazos Oaks! 🐾🌳💚

🐾 FOUND DOG | SIMONTON, TX 🐾
Can you help us get this handsome boy back home?

This Rhodesian Ridgeback was found in the Simonton area, and we’re hoping to reunite him with his family!

He’s an unneutered male who walks well on a leash and knows how to sit, so we’re thinking someone out there is missing their sweet boy!

If he’s yours or you recognize him, please contact Brazos Oaks Animal Hospital.

Help us spread the word by sharing this post! 🐾🌳💚

This is what care looks like when it takes more than one set of hands. 🐾

Behind every surgery is a team watching, listening, adjusting, monitoring, comforting, and making sure every detail is accounted for from start to finish.

It may look like a room full of equipment, scrubs, gloves, and focused care, but what you’re really seeing is teamwork in motion. Every person has a role. Every monitor matters. Every small step is part of keeping your pet as safe and supported as possible while they’re in our care.

Veterinary medicine is not a one-person job, and we don’t take that lightly.

From the first check-in to the final recovery snuggle, your pet has a whole team standing behind them. 🫶

If this is the standard of care you’ve been looking for, give our office a call today. We’d be honored to care for your pets and animals like our own. 🐾🌳💚

Josie is a premature mini Highland calf who came in after her family noticed diarrhea along with wheezing while she was taking her bottle. In calves this young, diarrhea can lead to dehydration quickly, and changes in breathing during feeding are always worth paying close attention to because of the potential for aspiration or respiratory concerns.

Our team was able to evaluate her, give the injections she needed, and send her home with a plan for continued care.

She may be tiny, but is absolutely adorable + has a whole team of people rooting for her. 🐾🌳💚

New week, same grind. 🐾

Behind the scenes, it takes a whole team working together to make sure every patient gets the attention, care + compassion they deserve. No corners cut, no steps overlooked.

From the first assessment to the final check, every person in the room has a role to play, and we’re grateful for a team that shows up ready to do it incredibly well.

Here’s to another strong week of caring for the animals who count on us, and being a part of a team who does it so well. 🐾🌳💚
