This handsome guy is George! He’s a German Shorthaired Pointer, a breed known for being incredibly athletic, intelligent, affectionate, and always ready for the next adventure. Originally bred as versatile hunting dogs, GSPs tend to have plenty of energy and thrive when they have room to run, explore, play, and put that smart brain to work.

A few fun facts about George’s breed:
🐾 They’re often just as happy being your adventure buddy as they are being glued to their people at home.
🐾 Their short, dense coat was made to handle plenty of outdoor activity.

Not exactly what you expect to see before a routine spay. 🐾

This sweet girl came in lactating, despite never having been pregnant. Dogs can sometimes experience a false pregnancy after a heat cycle, causing hormonal changes that can lead to milk production and other pregnancy-like signs.

Just one of the many interesting things our team gets to see in a day. 🐾🌳💚
