She’d prefer her nails to grow as long as possible, natural weapons I guess🙄💅
As much as she hates her feets being messed with, it’s for her own benefit. She can’t go do fun stuffs if she might break her nail. She don’t want to hear it though😆

It’s wild that dogs have no thumbs, only toe beans, and can still type out these “studies” 😂

A surprising new study found that people who sleep near their dogs don’t experience disrupted sleep. If anything, the University of Toronto researchers discovered, we humans are the ones disturbing our dogs’ sleep.

And we feel safer sleeping with our dogs, hinting at “a deeper evolutionary history” between humans and dogs, said a study co-author.

Activity trackers similar to Fitbits monitored the nighttime activity of 25 human volunteers and their 38 dogs in southern Ontario to monitor how each affected the other’s sleep.

When they observed “synchronized activity states” with the devices, they found that humans and dogs became active around the same time while they were sleeping but that it was the humans who moved first and disturbed their dogs, not the other way around, the co-author said.

⚠️In addition to the batty bat, there was a recent confirmed raccoon with Rabies in Westlake.

A deceased bat found at Camarillo Grove Park, an area frequented by both people and pets, tested positive for rabies on 9/28. Ventura County Animal Services reminds residents to STAY AWAY from bats, and to report sick, injured, or dead bats to VCAS at 805-388-4341.

While no potential exposures have been reported, Camarillo Grove Park also hosts a dog park and off leash hours. This is a very close to home reminder of why vaccinating your dog against rabies is crucial, and required by law.

In an effort to help keep people and pets safe, VCAS is offering a low-cost Rabies Vaccine Clinic for dogs and cats on Wednesday, October 7 from 4PM-7PM. Open to residents of our contracted cities.
