🦎 SPECIES SPOTLIGHT – TOKAY GECKO

Meet the striking Tokay Gecko (Gekko gecko) – famous for its incredible blue-grey colouring, bright orange markings and unmistakable personality!

Native to Southeast Asia, Tokay Geckos are arboreal and nocturnal, spending much of their time climbing amongst trees, branches and rocky areas. They’re powerful, territorial geckos and are best suited to keepers with some reptile experience.

Meet the beautiful Rough Green Snake (Opheodrys aestivus) — a slender, bright green species native to North America, perfectly adapted to life amongst dense vegetation.

These elegant snakes are diurnal and highly arboreal, spending much of their time climbing through branches and foliage hunting for insects.

Rough Green Snakes fall within Ferguson Zone 2, with a recommended UVI of 1.1–3.0. Providing suitable UVB alongside the correct temperature gradient helps recreate their naturally bright woodland environment.
