🐾 Pet of the Week: Gnocchi! 🐾

Meet Gnocchi, who is every bit as pillowy soft and adorable as their name implies! Gnocchi recently stopped by for an appointment with mom, Angela, and brought plenty of sweetness (and fluff!) along for the visit.

We’re pretty sure cuddling Gnocchi should count as a form of therapy. 🥰🐶

🐾 Sometimes curiosity comes with a bandage! 🩹

Our pets have a talent for getting themselves into things they shouldn’t. From foxtails and thorns to scrapes, cuts, punctures, and other unexpected injuries, during those times proper wound care can make all the difference.

Cleaning the wound, checking for foreign material, protecting the area with an appropriate bandage, and monitoring the healing process can help prevent infection and get your pet comfortably back on their paws. ❤️

If you notice swelling, bleeding, discharge, persistent licking, limping, or a wound that just doesn’t look right, give us a call.

When in doubt, it’s always worth having it checked!

Not sure who has a bigger grin! 🐶💙

Gidget came to visit us and made sure everyone knew she was having a pretty great day! With that happy face, wagging tail, and plenty of personality, she definitely brightened up the treatment room. 🐾

Thanks for making our day a little more adorablet! 🥰

There’s just something about a perfectly dressed kitty that makes the whole day better! 😻

Our adorable tuxedo friend stopped by Rancho Sequoia and brought plenty of personality; and encouraged some pretty big smiles.

Whether they arrive dressed in black tie or covered head to toe in stunning fluff, we love to see them so fancy!

🐦✨ Pet of the Week: Sammi! ✨🐦

Meet Sammi, our fluffy, inquisitive little cockatiel friend who completely charmed the Rancho Sequoia team! 💛

Sammi was curious about everything going on and even decided our fingers made perfectly acceptable perches. 😂☝️ Between that fabulous crest, those rosy cheeks, and his sweet personality, it was impossible not to fall in love.

Curious. Fluffy. Absolutely adorable. 10/10 good birb. 🥹🐦💕
Thanks for visiting us, Sammi!

💉🐾 Behind every vaccine is a veterinary technician making it happen!

Vaccines are an important part of preventive care, helping protect our pets from serious, and in some cases potentially deadly, diseases. But there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before that vaccine ever reaches your pet.

Our veterinary team helps prepare vaccines, verify dosages, maintain proper handling and storage, document medical records, assist during appointments, and keep everything running smoothly and safely. 🩺❤️

It’s careful work, and our techs make it look easy!

So here’s a little appreciation for the hands behind the medicine and the team members (Coleen and Olivia) who help keep our patients protected every day. 💙🐶🐱

☀️ Extreme Heat Warning: Keep Your Pets Safe! 🐾

An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect through Thursday at 8:00 PM, and our pets can feel the heat even more than we do.

Help keep your furry family members safe:

🐕 Limit walks and outdoor play, especially during the hottest part of the day.
🌅 Schedule walks for early morning or later in the evening.
💧 Keep plenty of fresh, cool water available.
🏠 Keep pets indoors in an air-conditioned or well-ventilated space whenever possible.
🔥 Check pavement before walking—if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
🚗 Never leave a pet in a parked car, even for a few minutes.

Watch for signs of overheating, including excessive panting, heavy drooling, weakness, vomiting, confusion, or collapse. If you're concerned your pet may be experiencing heatstroke, seek veterinary care immediately.

Stay cool, Rancho Sequoia friends! 💙🐾
