Dental health is a huge part of your animals overall wellbeing.
Like us, plaque turns into tartar within 24 hours, so daily brushing, with a pet specific toothpaste*, is the best way to prevent the development of plaque into tartar and eventually calculus.

Once calculus is formed the only way to remove it is with a surgical cleaning. When dental disease is allowed to progress, eventually extractions will be needed to prevent the spread of infection and avoid irreparable bone loss.

A thorough oral examination is part of every doctor’s visit with us. If you have concerns for your pets dental health, we routinely perform dental procedures including cleanings and extractions.

Keep your pets safe this Fourth of July! Nobody wants to spend their holiday at the vet, and a little preparation goes a long way in keeping our pets happy and healthy throughout the festivities.
