To all our dear clients,

We are officially closing our doors indefinitely on January 24, 2021. Thank you for your patronage over the last 5 years. 2020 was a horrible year for small businesses, especially in Montgomery County, and I hope our elected officials will support business friendly legislation as we move into the new year. We aren’t recommending any specific grooming salons to clients as no local salons operate cage-free as we do. We also do not personally know any of the groomers on their staff. There are several ‘shade tree’ groomers in the community and we encourage our clients to read reviews, ask questions and tour facilities of new groomers they are interested in using. This also applies to mobile grooming services. We wish you and your dogs the very best in 2021.

Covid Update: Rumor is that we will allowed to reopen the end of next week. We are preparing new procedures, staffing our revised schedule and figuring out all the details.

Please be patient with us as we reopen. We have many, many appointment requests to work through. It may be up to 8 weeks before we can accommodate your dog. We will also be working with less staff so we can practice safe social distancing.

Here's the bad news, because we can no longer stack appointments like we used to safely, we will be reducing the amount of dogs we groom a day. This makes us have to raise prices to cover our daily overhead expenses and deferred rent payments. I wish we could continue to operate under the old price structure but it is impossible. We will be raising prices 8% effective our reopening.

Small businesses have been hit particularly hard. There is nothing more heartbreaking than watching your life's work fall apart. We hope we will be able to overcome the setback and service your dog for years to come.

Yes, we are still closed. We want to be open. Can you do us a favor? There is a campaign started by groomers in the state working to get us reopened ASAP. Thanks for hanging in there with us!

I went in today to empty our overflowed voicemail box. Lots of people wanting appointments! We still do not know when we will be able to reopen. We will start by rescheduling missed appointments first, followed by email and phone request by dates they were received. We will not be initiating scheduling until we have a firm reopen date.

In the meantime, continue to keep your dog brushed. If you feel confidant, keep their nails trimmed.

If you can’t manage your dog’s needs at home, DC, VA and WV all consider grooming essential so salons are open. If you think that grooming should be open for business in Maryland too, call, email, write your representative and tell them you NEED to get your dog groomed for THEIR HEALTH AND COMFORT. The Maryland grooming industry is getting no help lifting restrictions. It’s still uncertain if grooming is classified Stage 1 or 2; 2 isn’t scheduled to open until September! Most of our customers can not wait 6 MONTHS for professional grooming to become available.

Gov. Hogan has officially closed us down UFN. We hope to be up and grooming again ASAP. If you need anything from us while we are closed, please email [email protected]; there will be no one available to return voicemails. We can also add you to our appointment waiting list via email for when we can resume business.

Sarah is getting ready for maternity leave and has 4 more days of work! If you would like to schedule with her before she leaves, now is the time!

The rest of the crew will be working to service her clients while she's out. Daren, our other Senior Stylist, is very popular booked out a few weeks, so please plan ahead. We have added a new very experienced stylist named Lavinia that does a great job with geriatric and difficult dogs. Madinah is also picking up some haircuts to help us out on the weekend.
