We’ve been a little quiet lately, but we sure have been busy!! One of the great things going on around the barn this week: two of our legend lesson horses, Flashie and Lady, went to Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine - Oregon State University to participate in the spring lameness clinic.

What this really means is these two amazing equines spent a few days in Corvallis at the OSU campus getting fancy imaging and multiple diagnostics and opinions! These two have had puzzling lameness challenges in the past year, and have been out of ridden work. Flashie and Lady have been champions in our arena doing equine assisted learning from the ground, and are always barn favorites.

We are so thankful to our current and upcoming veterinary professionals for their kind and thorough care of our precious horses. I realize I’m using an excessive amount of exclamation points here folks, but I am a special kind of anatomical horse nerd and this is all so fascinating!

We were honored to be part of a learning experience for future vets, and it was such an incredible experience to get to see the OSU facility.

(The barn cats may have been a little jealous and tried to stow away with the snacks.)

We are ecstatic to have both Flashie and Lady back home, and look forward to them moving with more ease soon!

Special thanks to Camilla Mortensen and Teal Nicole for helping facilitate this for our horses.
