Let’s talk MATTING!

Matting isn’t just a cosmetic issue, it can become uncomfortable and even painful for your pup. Sometimes that means we have to go shorter than expected, and I promise, it’s never because we want to shave all that pretty hair off! 😂

When it comes down to it, I will always choose your pup’s comfort over vanity. 💕✂️

When I say your dog’s comfort comes first, I mean it. 🐾💕
If you know huskies, you KNOW. 😂 They’re known for being energetic, dramatic, vocal, and not always the biggest fans of grooming.

So when this sweet boy decided his spa day was comfortable enough to lay down, relax, and just hang out while I worked… I had to snap a picture. 🥹

Grooming doesn’t have to be scary or stressful. I take my time, work at each dog’s pace, give breaks when they need them, and do everything I can to make their appointment feel safe and comfortable.

This is exactly what I mean when I promise to make your pup as comfortable as possible during their spa day. 💕🐾

At Pampered Paws Dog Grooming, it’s not about getting them in and out as fast as possible—it’s about giving them the one-on-one care they deserve.

And apparently, sometimes that includes a mid-groom husky nap. 😂💤

Better late than never!

🐶 Why is my dog STILL shedding after being groomed?

A good bath, blowout, and deshedding treatment can remove a TON of loose undercoat — but it doesn’t completely stop the natural shedding process!

Your dog may continue releasing loose hair for a few days after their groom, especially during seasonal coat changes.

✨ Regular grooming can help:
• Remove loose undercoat before it ends up all over your house
• Prevent impacted coat and matting
• Keep skin and coat healthier
• Make shedding MUCH more manageable

And yes… sometimes it looks like I groomed enough hair off your dog to make a whole second dog. 😂🐕

🐾✨ WHAT TO KNOW WEDNESDAY ✨🐾

Did you know keeping your dog’s nails trimmed is about more than just keeping them looking nice? 🐶

When a dog’s nails get too long, they can make contact with the ground and affect how the paw sits and how your dog walks. Over time, excessively long nails can contribute to discomfort and put extra stress on the toes and joints.

✂️ And here’s something a lot of pet owners don’t know:

If your dog’s nails have gotten really long, your groomer usually CAN’T just cut them super short in one visit!

Inside each nail is a sensitive area called the quick, yes just like us, which contains blood vessels and nerves. As nails grow longer, the quick can extend farther down the nail too. Cutting past it hurts and causes bleeding.

The good news? ❤️ Regular nail trims can help keep the nails at a healthier length and, over time, may allow an overgrown quick to gradually recede.

🐾 Little trims on a regular schedule can make a BIG difference for those paws!

🐾 Exciting Update for Pampered Paws Mobile Dog Grooming 🐾

As my business continues to grow, I’ll be making a temporary transition to a stationary grooming setup beginning June 29, 2026. This change will allow me to complete some important upgrades and improvements while continuing to provide the personalized, one-on-one grooming experience your pups know and love.

To make this transition as convenient as possible, I will be offering two options:

🐶 Drop-Off Service
Clients may drop their dogs off in the morning and pick them up later that day.

🚗 Pick-Up & Drop-Off Service
I can pick up your dog in the morning and return them home once all grooming appointments are complete.

For the safety and comfort of all pets, dogs will be safely crated between grooming and pick-up/drop-off times. Each dog will still receive individual attention during their grooming appointment, and no group play will be offered.

To help keep scheduling efficient, appointments will be scheduled as morning drop-offs only. Pick-up and drop-off routes may be assigned to specific areas on certain days, and additional details will be provided when booking.

This is a temporary change, and I appreciate your patience and support as I work toward making Pampered Paws even better. My goal has always been to provide quality grooming with the personal care your pets deserve, and that isn’t changing.
