This sweet boy stole our hearts while receiving treatment for pancreatitis at Jackson Vet Services. 🥹💚

Ragnar reminded us that sometimes the most special patients are the ones who ask for nothing more than a little love, comfort, and a gentle touch.

From snuggles on the floor to those sweet, soulful eyes, Ragnar showed us just how much love a dog can share. ❤️ He was such a brave, gentle boy, and we were so grateful to be part of his care.

Patient spotlight of the week💙

🐾💙 Meet Tigger! 💙🐾

Tigger came to see us for his annual exam, vaccines, and a nail trim — and he was such a brave little guy! 🥰🐶

He handled everything like a champ and was the sweetest boy from start to finish. 💕 And apparently, the secret to making nail trims even better is belly rubs! 😂
🐾 Tigger absolutely loved getting belly rubs while we worked on his toes. 🥹💙

His gentle personality, sweet face, and love for belly rubs definitely stole our hearts!

✨ Brave heart. Sweet soul. Belly-rub enthusiast. Very good boy. ✨

FUN FACTS ABOUT PIT BULLS! 🐶

Think you know Pit Bulls? Think again! 😍 Here are a few fun facts about these loving, misunderstood dogs:

🎶 🐶 A DOG MADE FAMOUS BY MUSIC!
Ever seen the famous RCA dog looking into a gramophone? That was Nipper! His curious pose became one of the most recognizable dog images in advertising history. Nipper was a mixed-breed terrier with bull-terrier ancestry. 🎶🐾

🐾 💙 “PIT BULL” ISN’T JUST ONE BREED!
The term pit bull is commonly used as an umbrella term for several breeds and breed types, including the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and American Bully. 🐶

🧠 ⭐ THEY CAN SCORE HIGH ON TEMPERAMENT TESTS!
According to the American Temperament Test Society’s 2023 breed statistics, American Pit Bull Terriers had an 87.6% pass rate and American Staffordshire Terriers 85.7%. Staffordshire Bull Terriers scored 91.9%. The ATTS emphasizes that these results measure how individual dogs respond to people, situations, and their environment—not whether an entire breed is “aggressive” or “friendly.”

🦷 🚫🔒 NO “LOCKING JAWS!”
One of the biggest myths about Pit Bulls is that their jaws can lock shut. They don't have a special locking-jaw mechanism. Like other dogs, their bite is powered by their jaw and chewing muscles. 💪

🐾❤️ Meet Bruiser! ❤️🐾

This handsome senior boy holds a very special place in our hearts at Jackson Vet Services.

During his time with us as a hospitalized patient, Bruiser showed us just how special he is.
He was gentle, patient, incredibly loving, and such an amazing boy through everything. Even during his hospital stay, he gave us the sweetest moments and reminded us why we love what we do. 🐶❤️

Senior dogs have a way of stealing your heart, and Bruiser certainly stole ours. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to care for this sweet gentleman. 🥹🐾
Bruiser, you are one very good boy, and you will always be part of our Jackson Vet Services family! ❤️

Mr. Bojangles is a long-time patient here at Jackson Vet Services, and over the years, he has become so much more than a patient — he’s part of our family! 🐾❤️

His sweet personality, goofy charm, and loving heart are just a few of the reasons we adore him so much!

This Pit Bull Awareness Month, we’re celebrating dogs like Mr. Bojangles and reminding everyone that behind those big smiles and strong bodies are loving, loyal, goofy, and wonderful companions. ❤️

Meet Harley & Lil Mama! ❤️ These two sweet faces stopped by Jackson Vet Services for their annual exams and vaccines, and they reminded us once again just how much love, personality, and happiness pit bulls can bring into our lives. 🥰

Pit bulls are more than a label—they are loving companions, loyal family members, goofy best friends, and big-hearted pups. 🐶❤️

This month, we’re celebrating Harley, Lil Mama, and all the wonderful pit bulls who bring so much joy to their families!
