Let’s talk microchips!!

The storms last night unexpectedly damaged the back fence at one of our wonderful foster homes but it wasn’t noticeable from the house. When the dogs went out for a potty break, 3 of them decided to go exploring through the new gap in the fence. 2 stayed close to home but Atlas was too excited for the adventure.
While Atlas is a foster dog, his chip is registered to the rescue, so when he was kindly picked up and taken into the Sierra Vista Animal Hospital, they promptly called me and told me the chip number for Atlas and we were able to reunite him with his foster parents incredibly quick! Now he is home and resting with his pack.
Thank God for the kind hearted stranger who scooped him up and quickly got him checked for a chip 🫶🏻🐾
The microchips used by our rescue come pre registered with the rescues information but it’s also free to update the registration upon adoption.
If you have adopted from us and still haven’t updated your dogs microchip, please do so!!
