🐾 Let’s talk enrichment! 🧠🐶

Keeping dogs busy doesn’t always mean going for another walk. Sometimes a little brain work can wear them out just as much.

What does your dog LOVE doing?
🦴 Sniffing out hidden treats
🎾 Playing fetch
🧩 Working on puzzle toys
👃 Scent games
🎓 Learning new tricks
📦 Destroying a perfectly good cardboard box 😂
🧸 Tugging, searching, digging, or something completely different?

Drop your dog’s favorite enrichment activity in the comments. Bonus points for pictures! 📸🐾

We might all steal a few ideas from each other. 😉

🐾 5 Mistakes People Make When Adopting a New Dog 🐾

Bringing home a new dog is exciting… and a little chaotic. Totally normal. But these common mistakes can make those first weeks harder than they need to be.

1️⃣ Expecting instant bonding
Some dogs settle in fast. Others need time. Trust grows with consistency, not overnight magic.
2️⃣ Giving too much freedom too soon
New home ≠ free run of the house. Structure helps dogs feel safe and prevents problem behaviors early on.
3️⃣ Skipping routine
Dogs thrive on predictability. Feeding times, walks, rest, and training matter more than people think.
4️⃣ Flooding them with new experiences
Everyone wants to meet the new dog. Slow introductions help prevent overwhelm and build confidence.
5️⃣ Forgetting mental stimulation
A tired brain beats a tired body. Short training sessions, sniffy walks, and enrichment go a long way.

Adoption isn’t about being perfect. It’s about learning together. Give your new dog time, structure, and patience and you’ll both do just fine. 💙
What surprised you most when you brought a new dog home?

Happy National Fetch Day!

🎾 Throw it.

🐕 Chase it.

🎾 Bring it back.

🐕 Drop it three feet away and stare at the human like they’re the problem.

Whether your dog is a fetch champion, a professional ball hoarder, or firmly believes “keep away” is the superior game, today is a good excuse for a little extra playtime.

A few minutes of fetch can burn energy, work the brain, and give dogs something they love most: time with their person.

So grab the favorite ball, head outside, and see who gets tired first.

Spoiler: it probably won’t be the dog.

💩 S**t Happens. Now You Have Somewhere to Put It! 🦴

We all know the struggle. Your dog does their business five minutes into a walk, and now you're stuck carrying a bag of p**p for the next mile. Lucky you. 😂

Meet our NEW bone-shaped “S**t Happens” Used Bag Holders!

These handy little holders give you a convenient, hands-free way to carry filled waste bags until you find a trash can. Because nobody wants to spend their entire hike swinging a bag of p**p around.

🐾 3D printed with durable ABS to handle outdoor adventures.

🐾 Bone-shaped design with a little attitude.

🐾 Less carrying p**p, more enjoying the walk!

🎨 Want a different color? Send us a message! We may be able to print one just for you.

Because p**p happens. Carrying it doesn't have to be your problem

We’ve been a little quiet around here.

Not because we stopped working. Quite the opposite.

We’ve been testing ideas, working on a few new projects, and making some behind-the-scenes changes at Magically Dunn Dog.

One of those changes was “partnering” with Magically Dunn Creations.
And by partnering, I mean we “strategically reassigned” one of their 3D printers.
It now works for Magically Dunn Dog full-time.
Permanently. 😂

We’re back, new things are coming, and we’re finally ready to start showing you what all the chaos has been about.

Follow along so you don’t miss what we reveal next. 👀🐾

This week is for the people doing a hundred things at once and still finding time to comfort a nervous pet. 💙

Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!

Vet techs are there for the blood draws, medications, monitoring, restraint, dental cleanings, lab work, recovery, emergencies, nervous patients, worried owners, and all the behind-the-scenes work most people never see.

They are often the extra set of hands, the calm voice in the room, and the person giving a frightened pet a little reassurance when they need it most.

It’s demanding work, and it matters.

If you have a vet tech who has made a difference for you or your pet, this is a great week to tell them.

Thank you to all the veterinary technicians who help keep our pets healthy, safe, and cared for every day. 🐾

I can believe it’s been a year since we came out with our music video. This was one of my all time favorite side projects.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If Dogs Wrote Yelp Reviews About Us… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🐶 “5 stars. Human provides food on a schedule but is VERY late sometimes. Would starve again.”

🐕 “Walks are decent. Too many ‘heel’ comments. I had places to be and smells to sniff.”

🐾 “Bathroom breaks are confusing. Human applauds like I won a Grammy. I accept.”

🐕‍🦺 “They say ‘just a minute’ and disappear into the shiny box room for 45 years.”

🐶 “Couch access revoked without notice. Emotional damages pending.”

🐾 “Excellent cuddles. Questionable personal space awareness. Would recommend.”

🐕 “Keeps telling me I’m a good dog. Still waiting on proof in treat form.”

Overall review:
✔️ Food shows up
✔️ Walks happen
✔️ Belly rubs delivered
❌ Rules are arbitrary

Final rating: 4.5 paws out of 5

Would live here again. 🐾

🎉🐾 It’s Dog Party Day! 🐾🎉

Honestly, every day feels a little like Dog Party Day around here. Whether your pup’s favorite activity is zoomies through the yard, stealing toys from their siblings, splashing in water, or just demanding snacks every 10 minutes, today is the perfect excuse to celebrate them a little extra.

Throw the ball one more time.
Grab an extra treat.
Take the long walk.
Let them sniff absolutely everything.

Because life is just better with dogs in it. ❤️

Drop a picture of your party animal in the comments! 🎾🐶
