Eight-year-old Brodie arrived carrying approximately three Akitas worth of undercoat and apparently decided it was finally time to let some things go. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿพ

The brushing began.

And the fur kept coming.

At one point we started wondering whether there would actually be a Brodie left underneath it all. ๐Ÿ‘€

Fresh, handsome, considerably less fluffy, and looking like an entirely different dog.

And take it we did.

Sara was hand stripped, a grooming technique where loose/dead coat is removed by hand rather than simply clipping it off.

Judging by the pile she left behindโ€ฆ girlfriend was carrying around a whole spare dog. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜‚

But THAT after?! ๐Ÿ˜

Meet Precious. At 17 years old, this sweet girl came to us for a little extra TLC โ€” and she did absolutely amazing. ๐Ÿฅน
