We want to share some difficult news with you. After many years of caring for our patients and being an important part of the Community Animal Hospital family, Dr. Jillian Morlock will be leaving CAH at the end of October.

We are truly sad to see Dr. Morlock leave. She has made a meaningful impact on our hospital, our team, and, most importantly, the countless patients and families she has cared for over the years. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication, compassion, knowledge, and the relationships she has built with so many of you. While we will miss having her here, we are grateful for the time we have had with her and wish her nothing but the very best in this next chapter.

We understand that changes in your pet's veterinary care can feel personal, especially when you and your pet have developed a trusting relationship with a particular doctor. Our priority is making this transition as smooth as possible. Our team will work closely with you to transition your pet's care to another one of our wonderful doctors, taking into consideration your pet's medical needs and your preferences whenever possible.

If you already have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Morlock after her departure date, we will be reaching out to you directly to discuss rescheduling your appointment with another doctor. You do not need to contact us at this time.

We know how much trust you place in us to care for the members of your family, and we want you to know that our commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to you and your pets remains at the heart of everything we do.

Please join all of us at CAH in thanking Dr. Morlock for everything she has given to our hospital and wishing her the very best. She will certainly be missed.

Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. Today, we honor all of the pets we’ve had the privilege of caring for throughout the years in daycare and boarding. Thank you for letting us be a part of your pets’ lives. Although they have crossed the rainbow bridge, they will always have a special place in our hearts. 🌈🩷

In celebration of National Spumoni Day, here is a story about a staff pet, "Spumoni"!
This is Spumoni. We adopted him from Arkansas when he was 14 weeks old. He came with the name and we kept it since we are an Italian family. Spumoni loved going on long walks, going to the lake, going to our trailer in Maine and especially going to the beach. At a year old he was on a walk and was hit by a car. He was cared for at tufts and we were told he may have permanent nerve damage in his front leg. After a couple months of him struggling the vet said he probably would not regain feeling in his leg and decided to amputate. He adjusted very well and has been hopping along ever since. As he has gotten older he has developed a spinal disc disease. He is still doing well and manages on medication. He can't do as many of the things he once loved like long walks on the beach, but he is still a happy boy and is our Spumoni.
