My gotcha storyโฆ
My mom had been looking for me forever. She needed a snorty, snore-happy little man who loves car rides and thinks personal space is optional. When she found Lone Star Dog Ranch & Dog Ranch Rescue and she saw all the amazing things they do for dogs like meโฆ then she saw me and said, โYep. That one. Immediately.โ
Before I came home, I landed in rescue and hit the jackpot with the best foster mom ever โ Trish. She loved me, spoiled me, and helped me through my surgeries after rescue like an absolute angel. Because of her, I healed, got stronger, and was ready to start my forever life properly.
Now? Iโm thriving.
I go to the pet store like Iโm famous, ride in the car with the sunroof open because luxury matters, and supervise Flying Heart Pizza outings (quality control is important). Iโve even been to Hurricane Alley for a Metallica tribute concert, where I successfully scared a German Shepherd so badly that both dog moms ended up holding their dogs. Iconic behavior.
For the record: Iโm a people person, not a dog person. I love humans. I love laps. I tolerate dogs on a case-by-case basis. My mom and I are working on my dog manners with training over the next few months because growth is importantโฆ even when youโre already perfect.
At home, we watch Greyโs Anatomy together. I donโt understand it, but I judge everyone heavily. Her bed is my bed. Her house is my house. Her people are also mine now.
I waited a long time for my forever โ but with the help of rescue, Trish, and my mom, I think I ended up exactly where I belong. ๐ค
