Barb’s House of Grooming has been in business for 45 years this year. We have always strived to provide the best & most professional grooming service. Recently two very sad things have happened. A trusted employee whom had worked for us for 40 plus years became a victim of dementia. No one knew about it including the employee & that it had progressed to the point that she had become unable to function & complete tasks properly. That she became distracted to the point that she left a dog that she had just bathed unattended on her table. Her mind did not process that she had not dried him yet & she went to get another dog to bath, resulting in tragedy. He backed off the table & could not regain his footing. The leash was around his neck. We are all devastated. The employee has since retired. We have many customers who understand that this was not the action of neglect but caused by an undetected illness. We have done everything possible to make amends to the owners. We promise you that all care is taken of our clients dogs. Our dogs are as precious to us as theirs are to our clients. Hopefully all will understand & say a prayer for all concerned.
