Brookings Animal Hospital will be closed Monday, May 25th, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day.

We will allow boarding pick-ups that day at either:

🕓 4:00 PM

At Brookings Animal Hospital, we know our receptionists deserve way more than just one week of recognition… but we’ll start here. 💙

To the ones answering phones that never stop ringing, calming nervous pet parents, juggling schedules like pros, and somehow still managing to smile through it all — we see you. (And we truly don’t know how you do it some days. 😅)

You are the voice of reassurance, the masters of multitasking, and the glue that holds our entire clinic together. Without you, things would fall apart… quickly.

But more than anything, you bring kindness, patience, and heart into every single interaction — and that’s something our team, our clients, and their pets rely on every day.

Please keep the wild creatures in your thoughts. Put out food for the birds and other critters. Suet is really good right now as it gives energy. Of course, all dogs and cats need to be indoors or in a heated area.
