WINTER WEATHER UPDATE

Winter weather is expected to impact our area over the next few days, and the City’s Parks and Recreation Department wants everyone to stay safe and warm.

For your safety, all City parks, dog parks, public restrooms, and spraygrounds will be closed for the duration of the storm. Starting at 3:30 today - ALL SPAR RECREATION CENTERS will close. In addition, all SPAR facilities will be closed starting tomorrow.

If you don’t have to be out, we strongly encourage you to stay indoors, avoid unnecessary travel, and check on elderly neighbors, friends, and family.

Once the storm has passed and conditions are safe, all facilities will return to normal operations.

Your safety is our top priority. Please continue to follow local weather updates and take all necessary precautions to stay warm and well.

Due to recent heavy rains, the Stoner Dog Park is currently closed for the safety of our furry friends and their humans. 🌧️🐶 In the meantime, you can use the dog park at Southern Hills Park.

Be sure to charge your cameras and be prepared to take adorable pictures of your pets today! It's !

Click away whether they are the four-legged furry kind or come from the more serpentine species. Fishes, birds, pigs, equines, canines, and felines should all get in line for their favorite pose. If they are friends, take a few snapshots of them together! On All American Pet Photo Day, every pet gets included.

As summer heats up, let's keep our furry friends safe! Remember, if the pavement is too hot for YOUR bare feet, it's too hot for THEIR paws! 🌡️🔥 Asphalt temperatures can soar much higher than the air temperature, so always test the ground before those walks.
