Good Morning everyone. We have a wonderful update to share this morning.
When Petunia got to Dr Treadwill last week she was in guarded condition and she said she was the worst heartworm patient she has ever attempted to treat. If she could not get her out of heart failure, we would have to let her go out of kindness because she was clearly suffering from how bad her heart failure was.
Today Petunia is almost out of right heart failure and is thriving!!

Dr Treadwell says she is a sweetie!

she only weighs 31 pounds now with most of the fluid gone. She was 45.5 lbs when she got there. They can already see her putting on muscle and she is so much brighter.

she is strong enough to start heart worm treatment now!

We have been praying for her, and it looks like our prayers have been answered. She is by no means out of the woods but this is a wonderful and exciting first start in the right direction.

Thank you so much to everyone that has been praying for her and for those who have donated towards her care !

Happy Thursday everyone ❤️

Alex Pretti's fatal run-in with federal officers Saturday was reportedly not his first, and federal agents had known about him before he was shot and killed. The 37-year-old broke a rib in a confrontation with federal officers about a week earlier, according to a report. MORE: https://bit.ly/4ahr7kp

"Bad days don’t always need advice, they just need comfort.
A cat may not be big on sloppy kisses, but they have their own magic.
They sit close, follow us quietly, and make the room feel less empty.
That soft head bump or gentle purr can calm the chaos in our minds.
Love shows up in different ways, and it still works.
Sometimes the best healing comes with whiskers and warm company."
