Fall Break Hoops Action!

Our fall break campers brought the energy and excitement to the court for a fun-filled 3v3 basketball SPARring session!

From making new friends and cheering each other on to our staff free-throw fun, the day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

Our cheerleaders kept the energy high as everyone showed their support and celebrated one another!

Fall Break Camp was all about building friendships, staying active, trying new things, and having FUN! We love seeing our campers connect, encourage one another, and enjoy every moment together. ❤️🏀

SPD Recruiting Open House — Answer the Call

Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a Shreveport Police Officer? Come meet the team and find out.

The Shreveport Police Department will host a Recruiting Open House on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Shreveport Police and Fire Academy, 6440 Greenwood Road.

We’ll kick things off with an orientation at 10:00 a.m. where you can learn about the hiring process, academy life, career opportunities, specialized units, benefits, and what it really means to serve our community.

Then stick around, have some lunch with us, meet our officers, tour the academy, ask questions, and learn more about our team. Whether you’re ready to apply or just curious about a career in law enforcement, we want you there.

The Open House runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Calling All Youth Basketball Coaches!

SPAR Athletics is gearing up for the Youth Winter Basketball season, and we want YOU to be part of the team!

Whether you're a returning coach or interested in coaching for the first time, join us for our upcoming Coaches Interest Meeting to learn how you can make a difference in the lives of young athletes.

It’s almost time!! SPAR’s favorite fall traditions!

Join us for the City of Shreveport's Annual City-Wide Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at the Cargill Sports Complex.

We're looking for businesses, churches, organizations, clubs, and community groups to decorate a trunk and help make Halloween unforgettable for local families. The more trunks we have, the more smiles we'll see!

According to weather predictions, the Red River is going to rise this Saturday, March 21 and cause flooding along the river. As a precaution, the Dog Park and Hamel’s Park will be closed on Saturday night and remain locked until further notice.
