Let's talk about the “Last Pick” of a litter for a minute. So many people have asked us, "What's wrong with the puppy?" or "Why is this puppy the last one?" when it comes down to the last pick. Truth be told EVERY single litter will ALWAYS have a last pick puppy. No, there's nothing wrong with the puppy. It's just the simple fact that, in every litter, there will always be a puppy picked last. In our experience, the last puppy is often the best one! ❤️

When a new litter of puppies arrives, everyone rushes to claim one of those first pick spots. The boldest pup, the one with the most unique markings, or the biggest in the pack usually gets picked immediately.

But if you’re late to the party, don't let the term "Last Pick" fool you. In the dog world, the last pup left is rarely a compromise, it's often a hidden jackpot.

Don't worry about being first in line. The best companion isn't a trophy to be claimed..it's a bond to be built. Next time you hear a pup is the "last pick," remember: they saved the best for last. 🐾✨

Here's a picture of one of our "last pick" puppies in a litter that we raised and we decided to keep for ourselves! ❤️ Maple 🍁

Just a puppy entertaining himself. 4 month old Stellar Bucky The Winter Soldier.

For those of you following along, yes, Bucky was returned again, and again not his fault. He will be staying with us at Stellar. I figure coming back to us twice is a sign he should stay

As a breeder, I’m glad that we can provide Northern Inuits to other families so they can experience the same enjoyment with this breed as we do. However, one of the hardest things for me is letting those puppies go. I always worry if I’ve trusted the right people with their care and happiness. It weighs on my heart heavily for quite some time.
We placed sweet Bucky earlier this year and he was returned, thru no fault of his own. We now have another home for him and he will be leaving tomorrow. Prayers for Bucky as he starts a new chapter in his journey. Prayers for us as well. We’ve gotten attached and letting go is hard.

Just having some playtime Saturday morning with the Inuits. I try to prepare all of my owners for the energy that comes with this breed. This is Tai (Dad 5 yrs old) and Andi (1/2 Sister 1 yr old) teaching young Bucky (3 months old) some play manners. While some Inuits can be great couch potatoes, others have a higher drive and energy level.

*Rough housing is always supervised and I never put puppies with older dogs that I dont trust.
