A horse can be more than just an animal—they can be a teacher, a source of comfort, a reason to keep going, and the beginning of a journey that changes the entire course of a life.
Ten years ago today, a horse-crazy little girl made a commitment to do whatever it took to own and be around horses. What started with brushing horses and taking riding lessons seemed like such a small thing at the time. But one lesson led to another. A simple love for horses became a passion. That passion became goals, opportunities, lifelong friendships, college rodeo, unforgettable horses, and a life centered around doing what she loves.
Along the way, horses taught lessons that reached far beyond the saddle. They taught responsibility, patience, discipline, perseverance, and faith. They gave purpose on difficult days and something to work toward on the good ones. Looking back, it's incredible to see how one decision and one passion could shape so much of who a person becomes.
That is one of the reasons Laurel Hill Farm exists today.
We believe the memories made with animals, especially horses, have the power to stay with someone for a lifetime. Whether it's a child brushing a horse for the first time, taking their first riding lesson, or simply spending a day at the farm, those moments matter. You never know which experience will spark a passion, build confidence, or become the first stepping stone in a story that unfolds for years to come.
