This week, we took in some new kittens and dogs and are in need of some supplies to help care for them.

The first few photos are some of the kittens we took in this week, who are itty bitty and fighting off a virus. Our wonderful vet is doing everything they can to help these little guys. We also have more little kittens in our care as well. We are in need of KMR powder to help syringe feed and supplement them to keep them growing strong and get them healthy!

We also took in a pair of senior Yorkie mixes who were sadly surrendered to local animal control after their owner could no longer care for them. They’re sweet, but understandably unsure of everything going on. We could really use pate canned dog food for them, as they eat the pate kind the best.

These guys are not ready for adoption yet, but we will post formal introductions once they are! Thank you all so much for helping us help them! 🙌💛

Will County Humane Society's Annual Fur Ball Fundraiser is Back in 2026!

After a tremendously successful 2025 event, we are pleased to host another event this fall! Our 2025 event was Sold Out and we hope to do the same this year.

Our Fur Ball Fundraiser will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 6-9pm, at Harrah's Joliet Casino and Hotel. The evening will be filled with food, fun, raffles and entertainment, all benefiting the animals of Will County Humane Society.

Wish List Wednesday!

We are need of some items for our cats!

Ricky is on Urinary Tract Health food to help keep him happy and healthy!

We have some cats that are on Digestive Health food to help keep their sensitive stomachs feeling their best!

We are in need of clumping cat litter (any brand or type of clumping) for all of our cats on site!

We love updates! Indie was adopted 7 weeks ago by an incredible couple. Indie spent almost 3 years at WCHS waiting for the right people to come along. And they sure did!

WCHS staff went out to visit with her today to check in and see how she is doing on her adjustment into this incredible home. Being a long time shelter animal can take its toll.

Indie is loving life! She has the love and admiration of her adopters and their family. She is playing fetch, going on car rides and sleeping in bed with her new family.

We are thrilled and wanted to share that no matter how long it takes, WCHS strives to find the right match for each of our animals up for adoption. For some it can be only a matter of days or weeks. Some, like Indie, years. We are committed to them all!

We love updates!
Cupcake (on the right), was with us for 2 years. She has been in her forever home for a year now and has a new brother! We are so happy for Cupcake and her family! 💛

Minnie has been relaxing and loving life in her new home! This sweet girl found a wonderful family to join after her parents passed away earlier this year. We are so glad she was able to quickly move back into a home. Her foster family stopped by this weekend to officially adopt her!!She recently celebrated her 12th birthday too!
