This handsome pup, Piccosso, decided to turn an ordinary day into an adventure when he slipped out of the yard while his human was running errands. A Good Samaritan was able to scoop him up and bring him into the clinic, where a Client Care Specialist helped scan him for a microchip. Luckily, Piccosso was chipped and his owner was able to head right over for a happy reunion! Big thank you to the wonderful person who took the time to keep this sweet pup safe and reunite him with his family! ❤️

Last week we had the pleasure of partnering with Olympic Veterinary Cardiology for a Continuing Education event at Shawn O'Donnell's in Everett. We were thrilled to see such a great turnout from our local veterinary community and loved spending the evening together!

A huge thank you to our speakers:

Dr. Brian Maran, DACVIM (Cardiology), of Olympic Veterinary Cardiology, who presented "It's Just a Murmur: How a Thorough Cardiac Exam Transforms..." and shared valuable insights into the importance of comprehensive cardiac evaluations.

Dr. Derek Standlee, DACVR, of Animal Medical Center of Seattle, who presented "Keen on Kidneys: Focus on Common Renal Disorders," covering common renal ultrasound findings, artifacts, and practical tips for evaluating kidney disease.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success. Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our veterinary community while continuing to learn from one another.

Our team had the best time trying to match baby photos to our doctors and managers this week! There were lots of laughs, lots of debate, and proof that some people have looked exactly the same since birth! Big thanks to our Culture Ambassador, Tricia, and our PAWS Committee for setting this fun activity up!

PAWS stands for the Psychologically Aware Workplace Committee that aims to create a psychologically healthy and safe workplace. They aim to improve the lives of all staff through positivity, awareness, respect, and a dedication to growth and improvement. The committee hopes to foster a community in which all are welcome and desire to be. ❤️

A behind-the-scenes-look at our chemotherapy suite 🐾

In our oncology building, we have a designated room for chemotherapy treatments to ensure both staff and patient safety. Equipped with specialized safety systems, strict PPE protocols, and handled by our trained oncology staff, this space allows us to deliver chemotherapy treatments with the highest level of care and protection.

This friendly face belongs to Tricia, who is the clinic's Culture Ambassador and one of our Client Care Specialists! When she isn't at the hospital, she enjoys crafting, cooking, cuddling her fur babies, and going on adventures with her family.

This Memorial Day we remember the courage, service, and the lives given so we can live freely. May we never take that for granted.

It is also important to remember that this holiday weekend brings extra risks for pets, from cookout foods to outdoor hazards and holiday travel. A little extra awareness can go a long way in helping keep your pet safe and out of the ER.

Lincoln stole everyone’s hearts during his nearly month-long stay with us ❤️
After being hit by a car, he was rushed to the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle, where he was diagnosed with a fractured tibia, a severe laceration, and multiple abrasions and bruising.

He was then transferred to our hospital where Dr. Standlee performed a CT and revealed that Lincoln also had trauma to multiple intervertebral discs. He underwent surgery with Dr. Howser, who stabilized his fracture with an external fixator, and our neurologist, Dr. Li, who treated his spinal injury.

Through it all, Lincoln was cared for by over a dozen doctors and countless team members—every single one falling in love with this sweet boy.

He continues to visit us weekly for bandage changes, and while his recovery journey isn’t over, he and his family have shown incredible strength every step of the way.

We feel so lucky to have been part of his story. We love you, Lincoln!🐾 ❤️
