It's that dreaded time of year again. Don’t delay - it's time to get prepared so you can help your animals get through the terror and confusion. Just start checking these things off each day and you’ll be in a good place next weekend.

Check List:

*Microchip is registered and up-to-date. Seriously, this saves so much stress and heartache.

*Fence line is secure and holes repaired. Gate latches are repaired and working.

*Do you need prescription anxiety meds? **Call NOW** Sileo is has some amazing results for sound sensitivity. Talk to your Veterinarian this week!

*DO NOT GIVE Acepromazine!

*Start collecting cardboard delivery boxes to make fun games

*Stuffed Kongs prepared and frozen for the big day

*Get frozen raw bones or other favorite chewys.

*Crank the fans to blur noises and allows you to keep windows closed.

*OTC Calming Treats such as Zesty Paws, Happy Traveler or Rescue Remedy might help.

*Don’t make firework/BBQ plans with your dog. Just stay home and help your best friend through a very troubling time. Leave them with a very trusted friend, never alone.

Bodie needs help walking on a leash however I discovered he was actually struggling being in the big scary noisy world. While we work on that I like to take fun breaks. Make training a game and everyone has a good time!

We have a lovely boarding guest staying with us. Cappuccino is being such a great Host and Helper of Good Times.

Somehow Big Mur has decided that all white Tesla’s are potential threats. Poor driver had no idea what they did to aggravate a 145 # Swissie. 😂

It’s time already! Dogs and foxtails do not mix well. Tiny barbs easily attach to your dog.

They can also inhale or ingest the barbs and may require an ER visit and possible surgical intervention. 

Make sure your yard is clear of foxtails, keep your dog on a leash during walks especially near dry grassy parking strips and unmanaged dry yards. Stop Signs and telephone poles are foxtail magnets.

Brush your dog’s coat, inspect their hair, and check areas between the toes to remove barbs before they get embedded.

Babeeeeee! This is beautiful and super quick Mini-Aussie Scout. She is lovely and learns so fast. Sky is the limit with this one. 😊
