We will be closed today September 19th for Warrior Fest at DVHS! If you’d like to meet this handsome boy, come see us!

This is Axel! He is a little over a year old. He is a shepherd husky mix. He is great with other dogs and kids. Just no cats!

Around 4PM today this sweet baby arrived at our shelter covered in maggots and has an awful upper respiratory infection. He was found on the side of the road and a lovely woman stopped and picked him up. Once we assessed him we noticed a hole next to his butt that the maggots were coming from. Our Director rushed him to the vet and is currently there now receiving care. Despite barely being able to breathe, covered in maggots, and dehydration. The kitten was making air biscuits in the bath while we attempted to clean him up, purring so loud you could hear him from the next room. We are going to do everything we can to help this sweet baby❤️ We are asking for donations towards his care. Every cent counts and we appreciate each and every single one of you that donate to us. You truly are saving lives one dollar at a time.
