Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago we very unexpectedly lost sweet Jett boy. He was the first to greet you and yell at you when he seen us. My pasture seems so different without him. He bonded up with Luna really quick after we banded him to stay in my herd after I quit breeding.

Luna has been quite lonely and getting bullied a lot again. Sooo question for my goatie friends, have any of you gotten just one sheep to bond with a goat? Part of the reason I was thinking of a sheep is due to the wool and helping Luna keep warm while cuddling in the winter. Thoughts and experiences would be great to hear so I don’t get stuck with a random sheep lol.

Trying to help a past buyer find a new home for her goaties where they will get more attention. Pet homes ONLY

The two males are from my herd. They are wethers and bonded. Just over a year old.

The female is not from my herd but just as cute. And around the same age

She would like to keep them together if possible!

We had and interesting evening at the farm last night. I was unloading my goat grain and typically my girls are screaming at me but it was all quiet. I looked out into the holding pen and all the girls were huddled up by the door not making a peep. I feed Luna Bear her grain separate so I let her out (she’s normal screaming and talking but she was even quiet). I started feeding grain to the other girls but nobody was swarming me and they were staying put and snorting. “I was like what the hell is with you guys”. Then I saw the blood on the dog houses and was like “okay who knocked their scurs off”. I was looking around and there was a bobcat kitten laying under one of my feeder cribs!! It ran, scared the s**t out of me and my goats. I thought it was a cat. Unfortunately, dad had to take care of it(im not much for killing but I can’t risk the safety of my pets)

Unsure of the situation but Tini protected the girls! Her face is pretty beat up but she’s eating and being a bully again. Thank you to her for protecting the herd! Goats are really sensitive to attacks and can go into shock easily. We will be keeping an eye on her. Pictures are a little bloody but it could have been way worse especially if it had been an adult.

Thank you to everyone who purchasd kids and adults from me this year! Last weekend Apollo and Soup went to Apollo’s original breeder and I cannot be more happy! As I am with where everyone went this year.

I do have Jett available for sale as a buck after the end of October(someone is renting him). If he doesn’t sell before mid November he will be banded.

I am officially down to my main herd of keepers. And unfortunately will no longer be breeding. I am happy with my 11 goaties and they get to just be pets on my little hobby farm!

As always thank you to my family and Benton for helping me out when needed. Also, please remember if you EVER need to rehome a goat you’ve gotten from me in the past, please reach out. If I am able I am always willing to take them back.

Sephie finished up kidding season strong this afternoon with 1 Buck and 2 Doelings! Yay for sleep tonight. 🥰 I did not realize the picture of the boy was that bad lol

Poppy kidded between my 3am and 5am alarms. Unfortunately, it must have been a rough birth. She lost 2 of her 3 kids. But the surviving baby is a big boy! Might try to put one of Rheas kids onto her as her udder is massive. Poor momma! But this kiddo is a cutie!

Rhea was nice and waited to kid until I got home from B’s birthday party and had a nap before she started popping out these 3 gorgeous kiddos! 2 bucks and a doeling. Doeling will likely be retained! So proud of this girl, I was really worried she was going to have like 6!
