Sibling aggression, housemates fighting, “littermate syndrome” (can be any two pups same age growing up competing with one another) or even two same age males or two same age females just beefing over hormones, dogs being possessive and territorial over the owners (it’s not protection if they aren’t protecting you from a real threat, it’s just bad behavior you’re excusing as protectiveness), leash aggression, and so on we have seen it all and we have helped all kinds of owners and dogs facing these struggles. For a good trainer it’s basic knowledge to not let two brothers growing up beat each other up as “rough play” or to know that it’s actually not so cute if they get “jealous” over another dog getting affection because that can turn into the dog thinking they can just have an opinion with teeth and reactivity towards other dogs or people getting in their favorite persons space, maybe it’s making sure the really wild and rowdy pup/dog isn’t annoying the quieter more chill dog when that one is done with play. So many things can seem subtle and like it’s not a problem until it escalates and then is a serious problem. As trainers we would really rather help you before it gets serious but you have to believe us when we say it can and likely will become a problem. These two don’t actually want to round house one another so we know we have to educate each owner on what to do to prevent the arguments but for some it’s not such a simple rehab. If you’re struggling with a puppy or dog, get help right away it’s not worth putting off.
